She came to the Leaque10 years ago seeking our involvement with the Toys4Toys program, which only existed in the Santa Maria area at them. Well we all know how that has turned out however the help came with a price. She had to sign up as an associate member of the Detachment and still work her self-silly. Lou also introduced Debbie Mansfield as the new Toys4Tots corrdinator for the Nipomo area she too will be joining our Detachment as an associate member. Debbie is at this time working on the Toys4Tots 1st golf tournament to be held on Sept 8, 2008 at the Santa Maria Country Club. Jim Pickens and Erik Van Houten will be working this job together. There will be a Toys4Toys SOS breakfast coming up. Look for all the info on this in the May Guidon. All other reports were brief or there was no report. To summarize: Betty Cook thanked all the people who helped her with the MCL State Spring Conference that our Detachment hosted. Also Tim gave us a reminder that the events sign up sheets are out on the table along with recruiting poster/application. Raffle tickets for the M-1 Garand have been mailed.
